Why We Need to Start Having "Connected-Body" Conversations

For nearly two decades, I have sat across from patients who feel like their bodies are a collection of unrelated "problem areas." A jaw that clicks. A back that aches. A pelvic floor that doesn't quite feel like its own.

Usually, they’ve seen a specialist for the jaw, another for the spine, and another for the pelvis. But the one thing missing from the conversation is how these three points are actually speaking to each other.

What’s Next?

As I continue to bridge these gaps in my practice, I see patient’s are still struggling to see how it is all connected and how to manage for the future. In an ongoing series of conversations with local clinicians I’m excited to share more about collaborative care and different viewpoints.

I look forward to continuing this conversation with you and continuing this conversation with other experts to get their opinion on how it’s all connected. I’ll share posts breaking down topics in pelvic health, scoliosis, TMJ, pregnancy, and chronic pain, always through a whole-body lens.

I’ll also be joined by trusted clinicians in varioius disciplines to explore how we can better support our patients together. and discussions on topics like pregnancy, pelvic pain, TMJ, scoliosis, and chronic pain.

My goal is to provide clarity, reduce fear and misinformation, and help you feel more connected to your body and your care.
